Muhammad Arshad

Arshad's artistic practice is deeply rooted in his fascination with the natural world. Since 2005, the Changa Manga forest has been his primary source of inspiration, with its rich flora and fauna informing his oil on canvas and paper works. Arshad's process is deeply immersive, spending winter days observing, sketching, and exploring the forest's rare beauty.
Awards and recognition include the prestigious "Award of Excellence" (2013) and "Special Award" (2016) from the Artist Association of Pakistan. He has participated
in esteemed art residencies, including "Harmony and Diversity" (PNCA, Gilgit Hunza, 2004, and Tumair Village Islamabad, 2013) and "Art for Climate Change" (Gallery 6, Islamabad, Naran, 2018).
Arshad's work has been featured in numerous national and international group exhibitions, including five solo shows. His practice continues to captivate audiences, offering a glimpse into the beauty and majesty of the natural world. With a Master's
in Fine Arts from College of Art & Design, PU Lahore (2003), Arshad's artistic voice is
a testament to the transformative power of creativity

"As a forest artist, I find solace in the tranquility of the natural world. Immersed in
the ever- changing landscape of Changa Manga Forest since 2005, I've developed
a profound connection with the land and its inhabitants. My art is a testament to
the soul-healing properties of nature, capturing the essence of the forest's fleeting moments. Autumn's kaleidoscope of colors, with leaves shimmering like jewels, is a constant source of inspiration. I'm drawn to the trees' resilience, their ability to
weather challenges while providing shelter and sustenance for the creatures that call the forest home. Through my oil paintings on canvas and paper, I strive to convey the forest's symphony of light, texture, and life.
With each visit, I'm reminded of the forest's dynamic nature, its cycles of growth and decay mirroring our own human experiences. My art is an ode to the beauty and wisdom of the natural world, a celebration of the interconnectedness of all living
things. I hope my work inspires others to slow down, observe, and cherish the beauty that surrounds us."
