

Born on 20 July 1966 in Lahore, Pakistan, Zahid Saleem is a distinguished contemporary Pakistani painter celebrated for his dynamic cityscapes, architectural paintings, and energetic polo compositions. His passion for art began in early childhood, and while still a school student he received Third Prize in the Quaid-e-Azam Day Art Competition organized by the Lahore Arts Council in 1980, an achievement that encouraged him to pursue a professional artistic career. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts (with Certificate of Merit) from the Department of Fine Arts, University of the Punjab, in 1990, followed by a Master of Fine Arts (with Certificate of Merit) from the same institution in 1993. Over the past three decades, Saleem has established himself as a respected painter whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. His participation includes exhibitions at Hamail Art Gallery, Alhamra Art Gallery, Art Fair Dubai (2014 & 2016), Artscene Galleries Karachi, and international exhibitions in Oman and elsewhere. In 2019, he received the Outstanding Acrylic Award in the BoldBrush Painting Competition, further affirming his growing international recognition.
