In the realm of painting, Naveed Ashkal has delved extensively into figurative art, drawing inspiration from his mentor, Eqbal Mehdi. Noteworthy in his works is the skillful application of softer tones, accentuated by the strategic use of source light. Ashkal's fascination with oriental art, particularly from the 19th century, led him to explore this era further through Washington Irving's book, The Al Hambra, adding depth to his artistic endeavors.
Since 1992, Ashkal's paintings have graced numerous exhibitions, inaugurated by diplomats and federal ministers.
