Born in 1976 in Karachi, Pakistan, Salman Farooqi is one of Pakistan's distinguished contemporary painters, celebrated for his vibrant landscapes and stylized urban compositions that blend impressionism with modernist design. He graduated with distinction from the Karachi School of Art, where he received formal training in fine arts and studied under the renowned painter Eqbal Mehdi. He also worked alongside artist Sam Abbas, experiences that played a significant role in shaping his artistic vision and technical development. Before establishing himself as a full-time painter, Farooqi gained professional experience as a designer in Pakistan's textile industry and later became actively involved in teaching fine arts.
